I'm Ashirbad Sahu, an undergraduate and MS researcher in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Hyderabad. My primary work focuses on computer systems;specifically low-level architecture and LLM inference optimization. I'm fascinated by how systems work at the metal level and how we can make them faster and more efficient.

Beyond technical work, I have deep interests in economics, political theory, and social development. I grew up in a resource-constrained environment in Odisha, India, where access to cutting-edge technology and research infrastructure was limited. The internet and open-source technology became my window into the wider world, allowing me to explore ideas and build projects that would have been impossible in a traditional classroom setting.

This background has shaped how I approach problems: I tend to look for fundamental solutions rather than surface-level fixes, whether that's optimizing inference pipelines at the architecture level or examining how democratic institutions can be made more representative. I believe in writing about what I learn, and this blog is where I put those thoughts down.
